March 2008 Entries

Family night at the Ruskin Drive In. This was so much fun! First, we got the girls dressed in their PJ's for the adventure and headed to Ruskin, FL.

This was our first trip to the drive in movies. We went to see Horton Hears a Who. We got there a little early so R took GA for a walk around the area. They realized you could go into the projection room and the guy in there asked GA if she would like to start the movie for him that night. So totally awesome! As soon as he announced the movie would be starting, GA and daddy ran over to the projection room and she started the movie with a flick of the switch! They gave GA a cute certificate that certifies GA as a Junior Projectionist - so cool!

We opened up the back of the car and all sat back there, eating our popcorn and drinking our drinks. We really enjoyed the movie. It was Imac's first movie "theater" experience and she did great! Both girls loved the movie and so did R and I. I laughed out loud several times and we can't wait to see it again!

First day of Spring = perfect day to fly a kite!

Decided this year to do the Tampa Bay Scrapbook Treasure Hunt - a cool way to see all the scrapbook stores in the area and to drive all over the damn place!  http://www.tampabayscrapbooktreasurehunt.com/

There are 15 stores involved - from Spring Hill, FL all the way down to Sarasota and all points in between. I have 10 days to go to all 15 stores. Started on Friday with my partner in crime who also happens to be my SIL and we have hit 10 stores in the past 3 days! Wow! 5 stores to go. It's pretty cool to see the different stores, meet the other crazy people like us, and, of course, buy scrapbook supplies!

GA went with us today to 4 stores and she had a blast! She got free stickers with a little book to put them in at Scrapbooking in Paradise, helped Julie clean up at The Scrapbook Shoppe for more free stickers and then I purchased some for her at The Happy Scrapper since I couldn't find anything I needed to buy in that store :) GA also had lots of fun consuming all of the treats that were given to us along the way (cookies, chips, ice cream). What fun. She wants to have her own bag next year.

Getting my Thanksgiving 2007 layouts done! The family drove to Georgia and stayed in the General Coffee State Park. It was a lot of fun. Here are the layouts:

Enjoy.

ME! And it wasn't for fun ;)

Friday - I was already recovering from a wicked migraine from Thursday night that lingered into Friday morning. I got up around 9am and my throat started feeling sore. Then my body started feeling achy. Then came the chills and sweats -- FEVER! Ugh. Took a nap from Noon to 4pm. Had some dinner and went back to bed at 7pm Friday and woke up at 10am Saturday. That's about 19 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period! Crazy.

I am starting to feel a bit better this evening. Hopefully it was a 24-48 hour thing and will be gone by tomorrow night. I literally haven't felt this awful in years. Maybe Leap Day isn't all it's cracked up to be......
